HORIZON TOURS REFUND POLICY

At Horizon Tours, we are family first and foremost and know that despite the best intentions, things can happen.
If you need to make a change to your booking, please contact us on info@horizontours.co.nz and we will accommodate your request when we can.  Remember to include your booking number to expedite your request.
REFUND POLICY - For our Tours that are less than 1 day in duration:
Any request to change the booking must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before your original scheduled time, and all change requests are subject to availability.
In purchasing a tour with Horizon Tours you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
  • A full refund will be paid if you cancel your trip at least a week in advance of your booking.
  • Cancellations made within a week, and more than forty-eight (48) hours of your booking will receive a 50% refund of the tour cost.
  • Cancellations received less than forty-eight (48) hours of the tour will not be refunded.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.
For those who have purchased a Cruise ship excursion:
  • A full refund will be paid should your ship be unable to dock due to bad weather.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.
For those who have purchased a Southern Skies Star Gazing tour:
  • A full refund will be paid should your tour be cancelled due to bad weather.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.
All other circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

REFUND POLICY - FOR MULTI DAY TOURS ('Southern Landscapes and Wildlife' Tour or 'Southern Expedition' Tour) :
If you need to make a change to your booking, please contact us on info@horizontours.co.nz and we will accommodate your request when we can.  Remember to include your booking number to expedite your request.
In purchasing a multi day tour with Horizon Tours (either our 'Southern Landscapes & Wildlife' tour or our 'Southern Expedition' tour) you are agreeing to the following refund terms and conditions:
  • A full refund will be paid if you cancel your trip at least 21 days in advance of your booking.
  • Cancellations made within 20-14 days of your booking commencement date will incur a 20% charge. 
  • Cancellations made within 13-4 days of your booking commencement date will incur a 50% charge.
  • Cancellations made less than 3 days of your booking commencement date will incur a 100% charge.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time or decide to leave the tour before the scheduled end date.
All other circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

COVID19
Covid19: If your tour is cancelled due to government restrictions we can either offer a full refund (before the commencement date of the tour), transfer your booking to another departure date or refund the remaining portion of the tour price (if the multi-day tour has already started).  
All other circumstances around Covid19 cancellations will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
