HORIZON TOURS REFUND POLICY

At Horizon Tours, we are family first and foremost and know that despite the best intentions, things can happen.
​
If you need to make a change to your booking, please contact us on info@horizontours.co.nz and we will accommodate your request when we can.  Remember to include your booking number to expedite your request.

REFUND POLICY
​
Any request to change the booking must be made at least forty-eight (48) hours before your original scheduled time, and all change requests are subject to availability.
​
In purchasing a tour with Horizon Tours you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
  • A full refund will be paid if you cancel your trip at least a week in advance of your booking.
  • Cancellations made within a week, and more than forty-eight (48) hours of your booking will receive a 50% refund of the tour cost.
  • Cancellation requests received less than forty-eight (48) hours of the tour will not be refunded.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.
  • A small portion of your booking fee may be withheld to cover online transaction fees or other associated costs. This portion shall be reference as Cancellation fee. See specific tours below where this cancellation fee applies.

For those who have purchased a Southern Skies Stargazing tour:
  • A full refund, minus cancellation fee, will be paid should your tour be cancelled due to bad weather. Cancellation fee for Southern Skies Stargazing is $5 per booking.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.

For those who have purchased a Cruise ship excursion:
  • A full refund, minus cancellation fee, will be paid should your ship be unable to dock due to bad weather. The cancellation fee for all Cruise ship excursion tours is $2 per booking.
  • Refunds will not be paid if you do not arrive at the pre-arranged meeting points at the correct time.

For those who have purchased a Celestial Dunedin Accommodation Package
Cancellations of the Celestial Accommodation and Stargazing Package are permitted up to 2pm, one day prior to arrival. If notification is received after this time, a cancellation fee of $400 for each room booked will be charged. This package is subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Bookings are essential, and booking fees and surcharges may apply. Further limit and conditions may apply including but not limited to black out dates, and weather restrictions.

The cancellation fee for all other tours - City Sights and all Taste of Dunedin Tours - of $2 per booking may apply.
​
All other circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

COVID-19 - Update as at August 2022
​
The city of Dunedin, our home city, is currently operating under the Orange traffic light Covid 19 Protection Framework system. At Orange, Dunedin is open for everyday activities including shopping, dining, conferences and events. There are some practices encouraged to protect vulnerable such as good hygiene, hand sanitising and wearing a face mask when required i.e. in many indoor locations. Businesses and locations will advertise their mask wearing requirements. These requirements may change in accordance with Government advice.

If your tour is cancelled due to government restrictions we can either offer a full refund (before the commencement date of the tour) or transfer your booking to another departure date.

All other circumstances around Covid-19 cancellations will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
